Citizen of the Month

We are so proud of Makenna. She was chosen as Citizen of the Month in the whole first grade! Today she got to go have lunch with the Mayor, some firefighters, policemen, the principal and the other student Citizens at the city office buildings! Her teacher wrote her a nice note too that said she is a student that always tries to do her best. She is kind and has made a lot of improvement since the beginning of the year.
We are so proud and she is such a good student and is doing amazing in first grade! Love you!!

The Boys

Caleb was looking so cute in his plaid shirt the other day that I had to take a picture, especially because he was cooperating and holding still while I took it. You have to take advantage of those moments!
Also I finally took Caleb out of his baby car seat today, so sad! I've been holding on and not turning him around because a) he is small for his age, only the 7%ile and b) he is my baby, he can't grow up! But he was getting a little squished turned around and I had to take him to the dr yesterday and he is 22lbs, so it was time. So I bought Chase a booster and moved his seat to Caleb. We went for a little drive to test out the "new" seats and Caleb was so happy! He smiled and giggled the whole 5 min. Chase on the other hand said, "Mom this isn't really so different!" Me: "Sorry buddy."

Pumpkin Patch

Last week we did one of our favorite fall activities- the pumpkin patch with some of our favorite friends- the Muhlesteins! We had such a fun morning. I love the fall. We sat on the tractors, the kids got to pick one pumpkin each, the hay maze and lots of fun pictures!

All Makenna needs for Christmas is....

             HER TWO FRONT TEETH!
I think she looks so adorable and I love the way she talks with her teeth missing, it's so cute! She lost one of them on Monday at breakfast and the other one was super wriggly too. I tried to convince her that if they both came out the same day the tooth fairy would bring her extra money for only having to come once but she didn't go for it. She wanted the tooth fairy to come twice! So again this morning at breakfast the other one started bleeding and she wanted it out before she left to school because we were both pretty sure it would come out at lunch and she didn't want that. She was wriggling it and trying to get it out but one side was being stubborn. She kept getting ready for school and then I was trying to wriggle it out. Finally after some tears, a little more blood and being frustrated it came out! She told me after school that it was much easier to eat not having two wriggly front teeth:)
The funny part about this morning was I was holding Caleb on one hip and helping Makenna with her tooth with the other hand and Caleb is dry heaving watching Makenna! I tried to put him down but he wanted to be up watching even though he was gagging. It made me wonder how he'll be when he gets older if blood is going to gross him out!??
So fun for Makenna. She said she hopes the tooth fairy brings her $1,000!!!

Crazy Hair, Movie Night and Fall Carnival

Makenna had a crazy hair day at school last week and loved it!

We had a movie night on Friday. The kids always love it when we go get a show- well Makenna and Chase do. I spend the time trying to keep Caleb entertained and still try and watch the show!

We also went to the city's fall carnival on Saturday. It's pretty fun. They have games, pumpkins to paint, playground and even some characters to get your picture taken with. My kids are scaredy cats and Makenna wouldn't get her picture with the princesses and Chase wanted his picture with Capt. America but didn't want to get out of the stroller!!

Chase said the red on his pumpkin is blood....
This little man just chilled in the stroller most of the time. Thanks Mark and Steff for coming with us!

Family Picture

Chase needed a family picture for school and I realized that we haven't had a picture with all of us in it since Caleb's baby blessing! Thanks Mark for coming over real quick after church, it's not too bad of a picture for just a quick one in the backyard.

Chase

The boys got their haircut last week and I always think they look so adorable that I have to take a picture!

They also celebrated Chase's birthday at school last week. He thought it was awesome and was so excited all day! Here he is talking about his poster...
and his picture in front of the birthday tree at school!
Last weekend I went out with some friends and gave Steve strict instructions that he had to give the kids a bath before he put them to bed. Chase can be kind of a pain in the tub because he freaks if any water gets on his face. So I'm not sure what exactly was going on but what I gathered their was a lot of screaming, crying and thrashing around and finally Steve was able to wash Chase's hair if he had on his goggles! Glad I missed it and can just enjoy the silly picture!:)
