Farm Animal Days

On Saturday we were able to go to Farm Animal Days. Almost  my whole family was with us and we of course couldn't go without Misha and Kira. It was a bit chilly but Misha brought extra jackets for the kids and we were good to go. The kids were a bit hesitant at first....
But Chase warmed up to the animals, just as long as if Lauren was holding them. He touched the chicks, ducks, and really loved the pigs but I didn't get a very good picture of those.

These two silly girls I don't think touched any animal- and just wanted to ride the train. Not joking, while we were inside a barn looking at the cows they just left and started to head to the line for the train!

The funniest part of the day was Makenna riding the pony. She has never wanted to ride the pony in past years but when I asked her this year she said yes. So we headed over. This was just before the ride started and she does have a bit of a smile on her face. We were all along the fence cheering her on!
But as the ride progressed she slowly got a grumpy face and was slouching in the saddle.
When I went to get her off I asked her what was wrong and she said "Mom, riding the pony is too scary and I don't like everyone cheering for me." She is so silly.

I'm so glad we could all go.

Easter Pictures

Before church I got a few pictures of the kids in their new clothes. They both looked adorable, I couldn't get over it- I sure love my kids!

Future Superheros?

My brother is getting married next month so as I was curling Makenna's hair I asked her if this is how she would like it for the wedding. She said," Yea sure, with makeup too!" How old is she?

Happy Thankster?

On Saturday we had our annual Thanksgiving with the Runhaars! We had such a great time and like any Thanksgiving the food and the company was great! The kids played so well and us adults enjoyed each other's company.

And who wouldn't have Thanksgiving without an Easter Egg hunt of course! Chase was all about getting the eggs. I remember Makenna's first egg hunt and she would take her time opening the egg as she found them and eating the candy. Not Chase, he didn't care what was inside- he was all about  running around finding the eggs.

As you can tell Josh was really into the egg hunt! We'll give him a break this once since he did smoke the turkey for us:)

We had such a fun time and the weather was perfect. A great day!

Preschool Field Trip

Last week for preschool the kids went to the Air Force Base Museum. I think the kids enjoyed looking at the planes and it was beautiful weather to see the ones outside too!

Chase was a trooper too! He only made it past the ropes twice, I count that as an accomplishment.
