Runhaar Visit

Three days after we got home from Utah we had our first visitors of the summer. The Runhaars came to stay and as always it was great! They came on Friday and that night we went out to have a campfire for dinner and their were so many mosquitoes! We haven't seen a mosquito since moving here so we were so surprised and so bummed. They were terrible! So we hurry and ate and came back home- so sad!
Saturday the circus was in town so we went. It was a first for us Jasper's- none of us had ever been to a circus. It was amazing with some really cool tricks.

It was Caleb's lucky day. You could go down and ride some animals during intermission. We had told the kids they wouldn't be able to do that (it was a crazy price) but they could go down and look at them. So Steve took the boys down and were just wondering when some random lady gave Caleb their ticket because they had to leave. So Caleb got to ride the camel and he loved it!

That night we went out for pizza!
Sunday was so nice relaxing and it was fun having the Runhaars with us to help pass the day. Lots of games were played and it was so cute, Caleb and Steve were playing kitchen!

It was so sad, Monday morning Erin woke up not feeling well so we hung around home and later in the afternoon went and saw Despicable Me 3.
Tuesday we went for donuts and to The Museum of the Rockies. Such a fun few days with some of our favorite people!

Utah Trip

After our week home the kids and I went to Utah to play- we were sad Steve had to stay home. Our first stop was to Kaysville to play with the Ortons and Beynons. The first day we went to This Is The Place in Salt Lake. It was so fun. It's set up like your in Pioneer times with activities for the kids. Makenna was the only one brave enough to help at the Barber Shop. She was all clean shaven after!:)

At the leather working shop the kids could nail designs into their piece of leather.

And we panned for gold and all became rich!

They were able to make beaded necklaces and explore the adobe houses in the Native American section.

And they were all excited to ride the train and play in the splash park they have there.

Our cute Caleb and Evie had so much fun together the three days we were with them. They were always following each other around!
One day they all played in the water all afternoon.
Our last day Kim and I took the kids to The Museum of Natural Curiosity at Thanksgiving Point.

We had late movie nights and shaved ice every day.

While still staying at the Ortons though we also were able to get together with my girlfriends from high school. We met at Aprils house in Syracuse and spent the day playing outside! Chase and Carter were best buds and loved that they both had star wars t-shirts!

Makenna of course was in the water most of the day and even at one point the only girl shooting hoops with the boys. She was trying to hurry and get out of the pool while I was taking the picture but she was in their with all the boys!
And of course loved being with Kira.

When we got back to the Ortons after being gone with other friends that day all the kids showered and all the girls wanted their hair braided. It was the cutest and sweet Kim braided all their hair!

We sure love when we get to see the Ortons/Beynons and miss them so much! Such a fun 3 days with them!
Conner and Chase
After leaving the Orton's we of course had to stop and see cousin Beca. We can't believe how much she's grown and the kids were so excited to play with her!
When we made it to Grandma/Grandpa's later that day the kids wasted no time having a water fight with Grandpa.

We also went mini golfing, a first for my kids. Makenna loved being the score keeper and Chase really just wanted his ball to go in the water which never happened.

On Saturday we had to make it to Aggie ice cream and I've trained the kids well and they all wanted Aggie Blue Mint! Later that day we were able to go to the pool with Misha, Kira, and Ribin and spend the evening with them.

Sunday we got to see cousin Charlie and again he is getting so big and loved having Makenna walk around with him. That night Grandma's neighborhood did fireworks. We're finally getting to the point where all my kids aren't afraid anymore of the fireworks and its so nice that they just enjoy it!

On Monday July 3, Logan did the city fireworks and we spent it with the Runhaars. Yummy BBQ before and you can see the fireworks in their neighborhood. It was so nice not having to drive anywhere and spending the night with them!

It was such a great trip and we loved every minute of it! We drove home on the Fourth and the extent of our own fireworks at home consisted of some firework army tanks and Steve and Chase set up the army guys in hopes of the fireworks shooting  those. It was pretty funny and Chase loved it! We were in bed on time that night in hopes of making up for lost sleep from the week and a half of late nights every night!
