Haircuts!

A couple of weeks ago cousin Steph came to cut our hair. Makenna wasn't so sure about getting her hair cut because she wants it long like Rapunzel, but we told her that even Rapunzel has to get her hair trimmed. I think she thought it was great that one of her cousins got to cut her hair.

At 5 months old this little man needed a haircut as well! It was in his eyes and hanging down to his earlobes.

He did so great. We had Grandma and Aunt Sharon around to help distract him and he loved every minute, just look at that face!

I think he looks even older now with his hair trimmed up.

Crazy kids

My two little hooligans just make me smile. Here are some random things that have happened lately.

We started giving Chase baby food. He's not so sure about it and seems to always make the funniest faces while putting food in his mouth.

Makenna started going to primary and she LOVES it. She's always singing and leading music at home and asking when is it time for church. I got a calling in Primary, so last Sunday I could actually see how she acts in primary, she sits so still and quiet watching whoever is up front. She doesn't sing or talk and just sits watching. Why can't she be reverent at home?

We've been making a lot of snowflakes because Makenna wants to cut with the scissors and we have no real snow to play in. She's getting pretty good at cutting.

I don't know where she learned this style because I certainly don't push my babies around in heels and with no pants on! I love it!

Makenna might be a photagrapher in training, she took these last two pictures!

Christmas!

Christmas was so fun this year! I love that Makenna is understanding the magic of the holiday this year and I know it will only be more fun next year! I especially loved trying to teach her the real reason for Christmas. We watched The Nativity clip several times and I would narrate what was going on. One night we were getting out of the car from somewhere and Makenna looked up into the sky and said, "There's a new star mom for Jesus!" It was so cute and I know at least she was paying attention.

Makenna decided to put Santa's treats under the Christmas tree and in the morning she was so amazed that they were gone. She talked about it for a long time.

Her big present was a new bike. It's going to take some practice but I think once she gets the pedaling thing figured out she's going to love it. Right now she thinks that Steve and I should push her down the sidewalk!

We had a great Christmas! Lots of food, relaxing and a good time together.
