Mother's Day

Chase had a Mother's Day Tea at preschool and it was so much fun. I left Caleb with Steve and got to spend the whole time focused on Chase. He loved it! We had yummy snacks and the kids sang some songs. It was the cutest!

Me and the kiddos on Mother's Day. While being a mother is the hardest thing I've ever done I wouldn't trade it for anything. They make me stretch and realize my weaknesses but they teach me so much and help me to be a better person. I love them each so much! They showered me with cute pictures and Steve took them and each got me a hanging basket (although they are living in the garage due to my previous post, I don't trust the weather yet!) Love my family!

Crazy Weather

The weather in Montana can be kind of crazy. I heard a commercial on the radio the said, Montana is the place where you could get a sunburn and frostbite in the same week, and it's so true. About a week ago it was near 80 so we made it over to the pond to play in the water with some friends.

And then Wednesday and Thursday of this week it was snowing and Caleb wanted to head out and play in it. So I dug out the boots and snow pants and let him go out.

Billings

We made it to Billings a few weeks ago. It was ward temple day so their was babysitting available at a nearby church. We had to be out the door by 6:45 am so it was an early day but it was such a good day. Steve went with the youth to do baptisms and I went through a session, so while we weren't together doing the same thing it was nice to be at the temple together. One thing I really miss about not being in Utah is not having a temple close. Billings is 2 hours from us, so it takes quite a bit more planning and work to get to the temple. I wish I would have taken more advantage of having one close when I had the chance. It was so nice being there!
We figured we would make a day out of it and went to Cafe Rio for lunch (something else I also miss!) and it was delicious.

We went to the Billings zoo after. It was such a beautiful day-it was almost even too hot! It wasn't too bad of a zoo. They had quite a few different animals. Their is a tiger in the background of this picture
The wolves were our favorite. Their were 2 of them and when we were watching them they started howling, it was like they put on a little concert for us!
They also had a pretty good playground for the kids at the zoo which the kids loved.

And of course when you're in Billings you have to stop at the candy store!
Such a great day together!

Caleb Birthday

Caleb turned three! How can he be three already?! He is such a funny boy. He is a chatterbox, always asking why and gives the sweetest hugs. At his well-check this week he is 37" tall and weighs 27.4 pounds. He no longer takes naps, is an ok eater if Chase doesn't whine about the food first, he figured out pedaling on his bike, loves being outside and playing with his siblings and the neighbor kids. We've got potty training up on the docks for this summer, still sleeps in his crib because I can't give that control up yet! He really is so sweet- most of the time!
I cannot get over this cute picture of him. This was the day before his birthday and I just love his little bow tie!

He woke up to cinnamon rolls and presents at breakfast. We got him a fireman's outfit, and grandma got him a rocket launcher.

That afternoon I took the boys to the Museum of the Rockies. Crocodiles, dinosaur bones, and playing never disappoint.

This might be the closest my kids ever come to fishing.
The boys were so cute pretending to be explorers and camping. We could have stayed a lot longer!

We had spaghetti for dinner and monkey cupcakes to end the day.

We love you Caleb and are so glad you're part of our family!

Easter

We spent Easter in Utah but I'm clumping all of our Easter activities together. A few weeks before Easter we dyed our Easter eggs. I like to blow out eggs and then we dye them and have a fun table centerpiece for a few weeks.I always feel like we have so many eggs and then the kids are always still done in 10 minutes!

This was at Chases's school right before Easter. They had a fun egg hunt that was a huge hit!
Now back to our quick getaway- Before church Easter Sunday!
Can we say that Caleb was a little tired during sacrament!? He was out shortly after the second song and didn't move the rest of the time!

It was so fun spending the holiday with family. Grandma cooked up some more eggs for the kids to dye after church.

And everyone was their for dinner and the egg hunt. This picture of all the cousins is so cute with their baskets, and a win because they're all looking and smiling!

Bunny ears!

Makenna and Beca were together the whole afternoon. Beca was so content with Makenna-it was so cute.
We went up to Jared and Laurens and went for a walk. Makenna and Chase were so excited to walk the dogs!
And of course we had to play in the basement where all the good toys are.
I'm so grateful to celebrate Easter and what it means. That we can live again with our families because of the Savior!
We headed home the next morning. It was such a fun, quick trip!

Easter Weekend

Over Easter the kids and I made a quick trip to Utah. They didn't have school the Friday before and the Monday after so we  made a break for it! Our first stop was to see the Orton's and the Beynon's. It was so great seeing them. We stayed up way too late playing and chatting. We spent the night at the Orton's and left in the morning.
Makenna, Liv, Pearl, Caleb, Lily, Chase.
Saturday we went to Logan and were so excited to be able to go to baby animal days at the Heritage Center with Misha, Kira, Robinton, and Andrea came too. It was all the usual things as in years past, ride the horses, ride the train, and hold and touch all the animals- its our favorite!

The second time we rode horses Makenna's helmet was so tight on her face- it was funny. I think its funny in the first place that they have to wear a helmet because it's not at all a scary horse ride!

Caleb was not really for the animals. A good poke was all he would give them but he sure did love riding the train!

Robin, Misha, Chase, Kira, Me, Caleb
Such a good time like always and I'm so glad we could make it this year!
