24 of July!

We live in such a great neighborhood! So many good friends and so many kids to play with. Every year our neighborhood has a party for the 24 of July. We had a BBQ, bike parade for the kids and fireworks. Makenna was so excited this year for the parade. Her and Steve decorated the bikes and we patiently(or not so patiently) waited for the party to start.

 The smoorgasborg of fireworks!

Chase was not a fan of the fireworks. Granted this is his first time watching them but I took this picture before the real fireworks had started, right now they are just shooting off the parachute guys and he's all huddled up and shaking. So Steve took him home and put him to bed- maybe next year:)

Swimming

We went swimming with our neighbors the other day and had such a good time. Both of the kids were loving the water and having fun!
Sometimes I think Chase loves Kim more than me:)

Love my neighbors!

Summer Fun

On Saturday we were able to be with friends all day long! I had so much fun chatting with these girls and the kids played wonderfully all day.

Every time we get together we have so much fun. Misha rented a bounce house for the day. They played and played and got so dirty. I have never seen Chase so dirty!

This is my favorite picture. While we were eating lunch these three girls could not stop talking, it was so cute. But this is what their moms were doing together 15 years ago, we've just managed to learn how to talk and eat at the same time.

 Chase couldn't get enough juice!

Makenna was so excited to see Kira and I don't think they left eachother's side the whole day!
So much fun!

Random

The kids and I a few mornings a week have been going for a walk and then ending at the park. They have loved it! I have loved it as well- it kills some time in the morning, I get some excercise, and we're going before we've all melted from the heat. It's been great:)

Yesterday I snapped these pictures. Makenna's friend Lily was over and they got all dressed up. Chase of course couldn't be left out- he just melts my heart!
They put on a great dance for me!
I sure love my two little monkeys! Some days are hard. The days I'm tired of doing the same things every day, we've been yelling a lot, Makenna pushing her limits with every thing, the kids not getting along. No one said being a mom was so hard and some days I'm just frustrated. But then I go and check on them before I go to bed and my heart melts and I'm glad that I can stay home with them, there is nothing I'd rather be doing!

4 of July

Our 4 of July was great, we had lots of fun! We spent the day with my family at Jared and Lauren's. We ate great food, went swimming and played Guesstures. When we got home Makenna and I dropped off the boys and went and watched the fireworks. Also a good time with friends!
I love that Jared and Lauren are getting my kids ready for the pool:)

Makenna was such a fish and Chase cuddled up and took a nap on Lauren!

Mark and Steff were also present and so glad that Nicole and Spencer could come and hang out with us too!

The Rescue

A few weeks ago I took the kids to my parents house for the day. Later during the day Makenna decided to go up and play with the dollhouse and she locked the door so Chase couldn't bother her. Well then I asked her to unlock the door and she was trying but couldn't get it. She said, "It's ok mom, I'm fine." Well I have to get it unlocked and the lock won't pop open with a bobby pin, the screws to the doorknob are on the inside of the room along with the hinges to the door and the ladder isn't tall enough to get my dad on the roof. Good thing that there are two rooms close together. My dad pops off one screen to get to the other window. He looked in the window to where Makenna was before he took off the screen and said she was just playing away enjoying her isolation!
This was Makenna's face, like 'what's the big deal?'
