Neighbor Christmas Party

Yesterday we had a neighborhood Christmas party for the kids. It was so much fun. A few weeks ago they drew each other's names for presents and us moms started planning the activities! We played Don't Eat Rudy, the kids had to find Santa's candy canes that the Orton's elf stole from Santa, decorated sugar cookies and had hot chocolate and opened presents.

B: Conner, Corbin, Peyton
F: Chase, Alex, Tori, Liv, Makenna, Pearl, Lily
It was so much fun! The kids loved it.We sure love our friends!

Jasper Party

It was the Jasper Christmas party over the weekend. It was a lot of fun and thanks to Aunt Sharon for the fun games and putting everything together! I think Makenna's favorite thing though is the chimes that Grandma Jasper brings. I think the kids did pretty good.

Christmas Activites

I love this time of year and the fun activities that we can do with the kids! We were able to go see Santa and their was no crying!
On Sunday afternoon while Caleb was taking a nap Makenna and Chase decorated a gingerbread house. They loved it and I loved that it was in a nice package all ready to go so I didn't have to do anything:)

Makenna also had a first grade Christmas program. It was the cutest thing. They sang all of these Christmas songs, and actions. My favorite was them singing All I Want for Christmas is my Two Front Teeth and they had a slide show of all the kids with their missing teeth. Loved it!

Snow

It snowed for the first time last week(and has been several days since.) The kids were so excited to go out in it. Makenna asked if she could stay home from school so she could stay and play in the snow! My answer was no but the boys sure had fun!

Random

These are just some random silly pictures off my phone. Caleb is in need of a haircut for sure and Makenna thinks its fun to spike up his hair!
Caleb and I were just making silly faces and taking pictures. He thought he was pretty funny!

City Lights

We took the kids to look at the city lights over the weekend and it was fun as always. Afterwards we went to YoGo for a treat!

Note to Self

Do not let Steve take the kids to get their hair cut because they might come back with blue hair!

Anniversary/Birthday Getaway

Last week was Steve and I's 10 year anniversary!! 10 years I can't believe it! Our anniversary celebration ended up being over Labor Day weekend to Montana house hunting. Not really what our original plans were but life sometimes gets in the way. We still had fun and enjoyed the time together alone though. I'm so happy to be married to Steve. He works so hard for our family and puts up with me and makes me laugh. We've definitely had ups and downs but I wouldn't want to be with anyone else!!

It was also Makenna's 7 birthday last week too! This is at school as the kids are trying to guess some of her favorite things. I also can't believe Makenna is 7!! She is such a joy and am so glad she is part of our family. She loves reading. She has really picked up on it and is reading everything. I love when I catch her in her room reading! She also enjoys math and the monkey bars. Her hands are full of blisters and callouses! She is such a good friend and most of the time a really good help around the house, her new chore is vacuuming and she's getting pretty good.
So due to our living situation right now we decided to meet Steve in Idaho Falls over the weekend to celebrate anniversary/birthday! We had 2 fun days of swimming at the hotel, eating out, walking around the temple/river, bowling and relaxing. It was great and I think we all had a good time.
