Today was the first day of first grade for Makenna! I had this great plan for this morning. We would walk to school I would take some cute pictures of Makenna and we would calmly walk in and find her class and I could watch her for just a minute and then I would take the boys on a run. Well that did not happen and it wasn't even Makenna's fault!:) She was ready in no time. As we are heading out the door Chase throws up! (They always know the perfect time) So I end up hurrying to clean that up and throw the kids in the car and because its the first day of school there is no where to park! I finally find somewhere to park (it was in a fire zone) get everyone out and the first bell rings. We hurry across the lawn and I try and get one picture outside of her at school and this is what I get...
No time to try again because now the late bell has rung so we go in and find her class and I hurry and get this picture....
And she goes in to find her desk and I hurry the boys out, just in case Chase needs to throw up again and we head home. Not very smooth but we'll try again tomorrow. I did grab this cute one of her when she got home! She said she had a great day and was excited to see some of her kindergarten friends. She is going to be awesome!
The only good thing about Chase messing up the plan this morning was I felt too rushed so I didn't tear up after leaving Makenna. I just can't believe she is in first grade! Time goes so quickly and I just want to keep my babies close and little. It was weird not having Makenna at lunch time and on the way home from school I was giving her a hard time that she left me alone with the boys all day- I was boy trapped!! I'm glad she loves school though and doesn't have a problem going. She just walks right in and finds her spot. I love my baby girl!!
