Rice Cereal?
Over the weekend we decided to give Makenna rice cereal. I thought it was time, she's been wanting to sit up on the counter with us every time we eat and she watches us with amazement. However, I think she was a little disappointed that the cereal didn't taste as good as she was hoping for. It sure was cute and dinner has become a little more exciting at our house!

Maybe you don't want to give her the taste, but I used to mix in some baby food with Maren's rice cereal--peaches or squash, which she loved. But, that was when I really wanted her to eat it and she needed to be eating it. Once they get the taste, they won't go back to plain old cereal, however. Good luck. She is adorable!

I agree with Heather on the rice cereal thing. We did plain cereal just for a little bit then I'd mix fruit in with it. They also have flavored rice cereal that my kids liked for breakfast. Good luck... such a fun milestone. Pretty soon she'll be going off to Kindergarten!! My Maddie Girl is going to be 1 in 2 weeks... I'm going to have a heart attack!
Cute little sweetie! Starting solids is so much fun. I have an electric baby foor grinder which I highly recommend. It has worked great for us and saves lots of $$$$. She sure is cute.
