Vacation Part 2-Hiawatha Bike Trail

After our two days in Silverwood we switched gears and did the Hiawatha Bike Trail. It was amazing and so much fun. The Hiawatha is a 15-mile pretty much downhill bike trail. It has 10 tunnels (one of them over a mile long) to go through and 7 trestle bridges. We rented bikes and headlamps and had such a good day. The chipmunks are not scared of people and pretty much eat out of your hand, Makenna was obsessed with them. The mile long tunnel is fairly wet since it never sees the sun and we had to take a picture of our legs and backside covered in mud. We seriously can't wait to do it again!

Vacation Part 1-Silverwood

We immediately got home from Heise Camping to get ready to leave the next day to Couer d'Alene. We went to Silverwood Theme Park for two days. The weather was on the chillier side so we didn't do the water park portion and had two days for all of the other rides. Since the weather wasn't the best there weren't a lot of people there either which was nice. Makenna braved all the big rides, Steve and I did our best to go with her but could only take so much. Day 1 we told the boys we'd buy them ice cream if they went on one big ride, we got the ice cream but Caleb didn't want to attempt another one and neither did Chase that day. Day 2 Chase decided he could go with Makenna and Steve and I could take it easy and not go on the big rides!

Caleb, Makenna and I went to one of the magic shows (this was the second time for us seeing it so Steve and Chase went and did something else.) At one point in the show the magician flips cards out into the audience. Caleb caught one and at the end of the show he went to have it signed by the magician. The Magician also signed Caleb's neck! It was pretty fun and a good memory!

Family Camping at Heise

I am loving this new camping tradition with my family at Heise Campground. We met up again and had a great time! The boys tried to catch fish, Lauren helped Caleb out with his hair and lots of swimming. The heater was out in the main pool but that didn't stop us, we just went down the slide a lot and played in the other hot tub.

Caleb was worn out from the weekend and I found him in his bed shortly after getting home done for the day!
