End of School Acitivites

Chase was able to particpate in the school's end of year track event. He came home with four ribbons. He is super speedy and his relay team came in first!

Makenna's end of year choir concert, her last one of middle school. Makenna decided to perform a song with a group of her friends and Sam was the accompianist. They did awesome! We went for McDonald's ice creams afterwards!

Chase had a picture in the school art fair!

And just for laughs, Makenna in her apron with Dad cooking on the grill!

Helena Temple Open House

We are so excited for the new Helena Temple. This will be our temple now which means we got to help with the open house. We signed up with the Hanni's to help on a Saturday. The youth were able to help put booties on the people as they went in, and Steve was an usher. Ashley and I hung out with the younger kids at the park for the afternoon and then we all went through the temple tour together.

The next weekend Makenna and I went again to help with the open house. This time Makenna was signed up to help in the baptistry to give the tour explanation of what happens there while I was a tour guide and took groups throughout the temple and explained each room (minus the baptistry). It was such a neat experience and something I hope we'll always remember.

Caleb-Random

Caleb got these cool sunglasses and wanted a picture. The YW also did a carnival/dinner fundraiser and Caleb got a lightning bolt painted on his face which was pretty cool.

Mother's Day

I had a date with all my boys Mother's day weekend. We went to Super Chix for dinner and then came home and played Pie in the Face. It definately was a mess but the boys loved it. I got hit in the face to but didn't get a picture. Makenna was on her eigth grade trip to Washington D. C. and New York. She had a blast and worked hard to save her money so she could go. It was a great experience for her!

I'm grateful for these kids who make me a mom. They are my whole world and I love them so much!

Chase-Volleyball and Makenna-Track

Chase decided to try co-ed volleyball this year and had a great time. It was him and three of his other friends with a whole bunch of girls! It was fun to come and watch him and he was a pretty good player!

Makenna also did track again this year. She ran the 100m, 200m and did shotput. She got a new PR record on shotput of 22.7 feet and was first place!! Wahoo!!

Phoenix-Girls Trip

I took a quick trip with friends to Phoenix and had a blast! We got in late Friday evening and of course had to stop and get an ice cream treat that night. We all got matching PJ's as well.

Saturday morninng we went and did goat yoga. Pretty much its a petting zoo with baby goats and alpacas with about 2 minutes of yoga. The first little bit you're all just trying to get in a large circle close together on all fours and then the baby goats will walk along everyone's back. It doesn't really work so well:) The last 15 minutes you can do fun group poses and then add a goat which is what everyone wanted to do anyways!

After yoga we were ready for food! We decided to split into two groups to maybe get tables quicker. Hence why some of us are inside while others were still outside waiting for their table.

We walked around after food because they had so many cool wall paintings on the buildings we wanted some pictures.

The house we rented had a pool so that what we did for the afternoon, chat and be in the pool. The weekend we were there it got to 100 degrees!

That evening was dinner and scooters. In Phoenix they have a cool walking/bike path that goes along a river with the city on the other side. The scooters were so fun to ride and it was beautiful along the river.

Sunday once we got out of the house we had brunch. The place we ate at had corn hole off to the side and a small band playing so we hung out there for a bit and then decided it was too hot and went back to our place to spend the afternoon in the pool.

Later that afternoon we went and got massages (kindof this weird Asian place) and dinner.

After dinner we went and did karoke. The place we went to (also a weird Asian place) had rooms that you could rent out and so we did that option. We all were taking turns choosing songs and all singing along.

Monday morning after sitting in the pool a bit we packed up and had to head home. Such a great weekend!
