Ice Skating

I took the kids ice skating and we invited friends to come along as well. It was a good time to get out of the house and we had a good afternoon.

Another year in the books. We are so blessed and enjoy our time together!

Christmas

December kept us busy with all the kids having concerts and programs. Once school got out for the break they were able to sleep by the Christmas tree a few days before Christmas.

Steve and I went to the Ugle Sweater Party

Not pictured:the Hanni's came over Christmas Eve for dinner and games. Christmas morning is still so exciting and the boys can barely wait till 7. We are so blessed.

I love when Christmas falls on a Sunday, to me it feels extra special.

Makenna and Caleb ended up making a snowman later that afternoon and so of course it needed a picture!

Thanksgiving

Couldn't have asked for a better Thanksgiving. Jared and Lauren decided to come up and hang out with us for the long weekend and we loved it. Good food, good company!

There was playing in the snow, crafts, gingerbread houses, games, the kids sleeping in a fort upstairs, and a visit to Jump Time. Love our family!

Makenna's Birthday

Makenna turned 14!! I got her out of school and took her to lunch the Friday before her birthday, can't go wrong with Dairy Queen. She chose to have her favorite dinner at home and a week and half later had a get together with her friends. She is so great to have in our family. She is responsible, a good friend, a good public speaker and has the best smile ever!

Halloween

Ward Halloween Party went well. This year I was an old lady again, Steve was the wookie, Caleb a pirate and Chase and Makenna decided to be rappers. Which then influenced several of Makenna's frinds to be rappers!

Caleb got to dress up again the Friday before Halloween for school and this time we remembered his facial hair.

Halloween day Chase wore his rapper things to school while Makenna and her friends were dwarfs and Makenna was Feisty. Caleb decided to go as Scream for trick or treating.

Caleb and Steve carved our pumpkin and it was the pumpkin Caleb grew from the seed he got from school in the spring.

Halloween Bunco

Makenna hosted "Halloween Bunco" at our house. We had fun food, bunco, silly prizes and it was so great having Makenna's friends over for a bit. Caleb also got to play as a sub and had fun with the older kids.

Fall Break

For fall break we went to Utah. We left the kids with Grandma and Grandpa and Steve and I did our own thing for a few days. We went up to Tony's Grove one afternoon to enjoy the fall colors

Played racquetball, went to the temple, had lunch with Sharon and Steph, aggie ice cream and an evening out with Josh and Chris. Josh got out the telescope that night and we saw Saturn! It was amazing to actually see the rings of the planet! And a picture of our room at the Anniversary Inn (it was carribean sea theme)

After our few days in Logan we took the kids to Salt Lake to see Thriller. This was the last year they are doing the show so we knew we had to go!

The plan was to go to Lagoon "Frightmares" but the weather was terrible that weekend so we ended up going swimming at the Bountiful indoor pool with Mark and Steff which turned out great as well.

We were able to see Steve's family that weekend as well. We stayed at Dave and Jennifer's. Everyone came over for breakfast one morning but I failed in getting a picture. We did also go out with them to Red Robin one evening before we went to Thriller but I only captured half the group.

The one picture Makenna sent me of their time with Grandma was them out on a trail enjoying the fall colors. They had a good time with Grandma outside and also went to the fun park and bowling.
