Christmas

Christmas Eve we spent with the Hanni's playing games. WE played Christmas Bingo and Caleb enjoyed his funny glasses prize, played taboo and just hanging out. We had a wonderful Christmas and are spoiled rotten. The big present this year was a foosball table which has been so fun.

We also went to watch Sing 2 in the theater on one of Steve's days off during the break.

We are so blessed by all the things we could do this year and the memories made. It was such a good year being together!

December Activities

Belgrade started a Christmas Light Parade where big trucks (garbage trucks etc) get all decorated with lights and have a parade. It is so much fun. Didn't get a very good picture of us but we've enjoyed both years they've done it. Our neighborhood has also started a Holiday Stroll and Santa comes. It was too cold and Santa was running late so we just took a cute picture of us without Santa!

We also went to The Christmas Carol Play put on by the local theater with the Hanni girls.

Went to lunch with Megan and Ashley and the kids were able to go sledding with friends.

Not pictured Makenna had a choir concert and she had a solo part, so proud of her and being so brave. She did awesome! Makenna and I also played a piano duet at church playing O Come All ye Faithful.

Ugly Sweater Party

Ugly Sweater Party this year! Steve and I had ours sitting and waiting for a whole year. I found our outfits the year before after Christmas was over. It was so funny to walk in and see Maryanne had the exact outfit! Yummy food, fun games and the best of friends.

Surprise Visit

I surprised Chris and went to Logan for a weekend for her birthday. She had no idea I was coming and was so surprised when she opened the door! I got there late Friday evening and left Sunday afternoon. So really we just had Saturday. We went to their ward Christmas brunch, got our nails done, ran some errands, aggie ice cream and played games. Both Bailey and Erin have boyfriends and I was able to meet them. Erin's boyfriend, Gideon was able to come get ice cream with us. It was such a fun, quick trip!

Thanksgiving

We stayed home for Thanksgiving this year and Brodie was out of town so the Hanni's came over! I think it was one of our favorite Thanksgivings! Being together with friends and Ashley and I divided up the menu so it wasn't overwhelming. We did go for a walk in the morning before they came. During the break we also went to jumptime for the afternoon and Makenna tried one of her face masks she got for her birthday.

Makenna's Birthday

Makenna turns 13!! How in the heck do I have a teenager? Her birthday fell on a Sunday this year so the Saturday before her, Olivia and Arleigh went shopping at the mall for the afternoon. That evening she had a big 'ol party with a bunch of her friends. We had pizza, they played some minute to win it games and hung out. Caleb ended up being quite the pro using chopsticks to pick up marshmallows and I think the girls had a great time!

Birthday Sunday by going to church and hanging out at home! We sure love our Makenna and all she brings to our home. Her spunk, smile and she is such a good friend to others and so brave in sharing what she believes. Love her!

Steve's Beard

Steve wanted documentation of all the stages of him shaving off his beard!

And we snuck in an anniversary breakfast before Makenna's birthday celebrations!

Steve's Birthday

For Steve's birthday in the afternoon we went to the MSU volleyball game and ice cream after. That evening Caroline hosted a murder mystery dinner and it was a blast. Our character was a rich snotty lady who is in the Miss Kansas Beauty Pagaent. We actually were the killers!

Halloween

This year for Halloween we had Steve and Caleb as pirates, Chase as creeper from Minecraft, Makenna a witch (for the ward party) and I was an old lady. I was supposed to be Wendy from Peter Pan to tie in with the pirates but my costume didn't fit. Makenna came up last minute with the idea to be an old lady and I think it was the best costuem ever! It was so comfy and it was fun wearing those big glasses! The Primary was in charge of organizing the party and it was a smashing success! Chili, cackle contest, prizes for best costume and of course trunk or treat with a prize for best trunk as well! It was such a fun night and Chase was also able to bring Graycen as well.

Makenna could wear a costume to school and she decided she wanted to be the old lady.

I took Caleb to the YMCA's Halloween Carnival where he rocked it at all the games and Makenna and Caleb did the pumpkin carving this year!

Halloween night it was pretty chilly so Makenna then decided to be a monkey. Sure do love these hooligans!
