Happy Mothers/Fathers Day to Us!

Happy Father's Day! Even though I know Steve barely looks at our blog I'm posting this just in case he might read it some day. Makenna and I are so lucky to have Steve. He is so patient with Makenna and she adores him. She always is wanting to play with him and do anything that he's doing. He also has to put up with me which isn't easy since I'm this emotional/crazy/pregnant lady. He works so hard for our family and WE LOVE HIM!

Also I celebrated Mother's Day this weekend. Steve bought me my ticket to see Mama Mia and Chris and I made a weekend out of it. We wandered the Gateway, went to dinner, saw a movie, had ice cream on Friday. Saturday we laid around with NO CHILDREN to bother us all morning, went to lunch, saw Mama Mia which was amazing, and had ice cream again. It was a great weekend, thanks Chris!

A Few Random Things

Makenna likes to draw on the dry erase board. So the other morning she's drawing and I'm cleaning up and I turn around and she is smelling one of the markers and says to me, "Mom this marker smells good!" Should I be concerned?

Today Chris and I took the girls and went and enjoyed the sunshine. We did some hiking/exploring and had our picnic lunch up in the mountains. What a beautiful morning!

Steve and Makenna tonight were trying to look like me except they would run into each other's stomachs and Makenna would fall over laughing. It was pretty funny, I was glad that I got to sit on the couch and laugh.

Easter Weekend

Easter weekend was so fun this year. My cousin was getting married up in Idaho Falls so we made a weekend out of it and stayed over night. All we did was swim at the hotel, Makenna was in heaven. I didn't get any pictures but she is becoming quite the fish and a little too brave for me. She would jump in and wouldn't want Steve or I to hold her (good thing she had a life jacket!)
The wedding wasn't until the afternoon so after we went swimming again in the morning we got ready and went to feed the ducks, really it was more feeding the seagulls but it was still fun.

Makenna loved seeing the Idaho Falls Temple, she kept calling it the 'new temple'.

Cheesin' it with Uncle J.

Easter was so fun. Makenna got a new poofy dress which she loves and always wants to wear.

The Easter bunny left lots of eggs around the house filled with candy. Makenna would think it was so funny when she would find an egg in silly places like her pink chair at the table, in her bed, and there was even one by the bathroom sink. She would laugh and say "silly Easter bunny."

In other news Makenna has been obsessed with braids lately, she does look pretty cute. I was a little slow for this picture (or Makenna was too fast!) but I still love it, her face of pure joy.

Baby Animals

This weekend Makenna and I made it out to the Heritage Center to see the baby animals. Its amazing what a year difference makes. Last year she just wanted to look at the animals but this year she loved touching them and wanted to hold them. It was a lot more fun! After we'd get done with one set of animals Makenna would turn and say, "What's next Mom". She could have stayed all day. She was brave enough and wanted to hold the duck. She was doing pretty good until the duck started getting wiggly and then Makenna was holding it by its feet! The worker wasn't too happy but I was so proud of her. It was a bit rainy at times but don't worry we've got it under control. I'm glad we could go with friends as well, Thanks Mish and Cindy for a fun morning!

Its a....

We're having a BOY! We're pretty excited.

Tomorrow is the big day!

Tomorrow is when we find out if we're having a boy or girl. I can't believe it's already here. With Makenna I swear this appointment was never going to come and this time its already upon us! Steve thinks its a girl, I guess he likes the extra estrogen in the house, Makenna also says its a girl, and I can't decide what I want/think. Another girl would be fun, we have the clothes and the pink covered but I don't know about having more drama in the house. A boy would be fun too, change things up around here. The young women think I'm having a boy because they read my palm with a pencil... very scientific. We shall see, we're excited!

This Isn't an April Fool's Joke

My house is for sale! Anyone want to buy a house in Logan? I know of a really nice one and it just went up on the market yesterday. New flooring, some rooms just got a new paint job, I have pretty flowers coming up (anyone convinced yet?) For those who don't know Steve's job was eliminated at work in January, and after 9 LONG weeks of dedicated job hunting, Steve got a job but the only problem is that we're moving. We're so relieved that Steve has a job, it is the worst feeling not having one and we're excited for the adventures ahead but I'm sad to leave. We're not going far, but far enough that I've had some emotional breakdowns. We live in such a good neighborhood, have such good friends, and are so close to family. If anyone wants to come and see you're more than welcome!
