Caleb's 1st Birthday

My baby turned 1 last week! I just can't believe how fast time goes. I swear I just had him. We had a good day, nothing really out of the ordinary except some presents, Grandma J- Grandma and Grandpa P and Andrea came for dinner and cake and ice cream that evening. You would have thought it was Makenna and Chases' birthday with how excited they were all day! Caleb had plenty of help opening his presents:)

He was more than ready for some cake! Earlier that day Aunt Steff had come over and I was saying how with Makenna I was super strict and didn't give her treats her first year and gradually I've gotten more relaxed. Caleb loves treats! I can't deny him when he's sitting there and we are all having a treat and he's reaching for a bite for him:)

I should have taken his picture with family earlier rather than waiting till the end when he was done having a party! Oh well.

Farm Animal Days

On Saturday we went up to Farm Animal Days at the Heritage Center! We had so much fun like always especially when we get to go with some of our most favorite friends!:) The kids were so funny when we got out of the car Mish and I asked them which animal they wanted to see first and they all yelled "The Train!" So the train it was. It's nice that the kids are getting older and can go by themselves and Mish and I just sat on the bench and chatted and watched them go around. They would jump off and just get right back on.

The caboose is like a jail cell, they shut the door and get locked in, the kids think it's great. Makenna and Kira I think just rode in it once, Makenna said it was too hot and just wanted to sit in a regular car but Chase couldn't get enough of the jail cell. That's the place he always wanted to be:)

Mish and I were reminiscing that a few years ago we would have to drag the girls to even look at the chicks and now the kids can't get enough of them. They scoop them out of the box and love holding them!

 This little man was in attendance for the activity and just chilled in his stroller for the afternoon.

Hiking Date

It was beautiful weather on Friday and Makenna had earned a date with Steve so he took her hiking on a trail close by when she got home from school. She was so excited and had been talking about it for several days before. They had a great time!

My Easter Peeps

Easter was so relaxing this year, I loved it! It is fun getting fun Easter dresses and looking extra nice for church but I do admit that it was also really nice to stay in our jammies and listen to conference instead:) I still had to take the kids pictures though, I couldn't resist! They are my favorite Easter Peeps!

 We had cinnamon rolls for breakfast and Makenna ended up getting frosting all over her!

 We hid the eggs two times for the kids and then they hid them another time for me to find. Looking for eggs never gets old.

I love the time we can spend together as a family and the reason we celebrate Easter, so we can live again and be with those we love forever!
