More Hikes

I love our hikes with friends! We try and go on one every week and its great. This was the Triple Tree hike. We tried this one last summer and didn't make it to the end so we all felt accomplished that we made the whole thing this year!

Hikes

We've been able to go on a few hikes with friends and have had a great time. We went on the Drinking Horse trail and then went and fed the fish at the fish hatchery after!

 A big group of us also went to Palisade Falls. Makenna was at a school science camp so we missed having her but she was having a blast at camp.

Father and Sons

The boys got to go on a Father and Son camp out with our stake and they were so excited to spend extra time with dad camping. I think its become one of their favorite weekends!

Summer Begins!

Summer is here and in one week we've had s'mores over a fire, played at the park, pond, library visits and us adults got together to play ultimate frisbee and capture the flag. Steve also started a new job a few weeks ago working at Darigold in the warehouse. It's gonna be a good summer!

End of School Year Shenanigans

May is so busy. I think it's busier than December with all of the things the kids had going on I practically lived at the school it felt like! Makenna participated in the 4 grade talent show. She was able to play a song on her recorder with a group and she also sang a solo. She sang You and Me from Descendants. We are super proud of her willingness to share her talents. She did awesome!

 I also wanted to squeeze in a fun day with Caleb since it'll be our last before school gets out and then in the fall he'll be gone at school all day to. So we hiked the M and we went to the fish hatchery because I knew he would love feeding the fish. It was perfect and he loved it!

 Since 5 grade is in middle school the 4 graders put on a little program and then outside all the kids line up and the 4 graders go through the tunnel while everyone blows bubbles at them. After the 4 graders get to sign each others t-shirts. Kind of a fun way to say goodbye to the 4 graders.

 This school year did rock and I'm so proud how well the kids did in school!

Field Trips!

I was able to go with Chase on his class field trip to Hyalite. We did a little hike to Cresent Lake and along the Hyalite Reservoir. In the afternoon the kids did a nature scavenger hunt. It was a beautiful day and I'm so glad I got to spend time with Chase.

 The very next day I was able to go with Makenna on her class field trip. We hiked Drinking Horse and went to the fish hatchery.

 At the fish hatchery we did different stations. We toured the facility, the kids could practice their casting skills, a scavenger hunt and the most favorite was feeding the fish. Their are so many fish in the pond and they just come right up to try and get some food. Such a fun day with my girl!
