Makenna's Baptism

Makenna was baptized a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints on December 10. The whole weekend was a tender mercy from Heavenly Father. Its not fun to drive in the snow in Montana and that whole week before we were watching the weather like hawks. It kept saying that it was going to be stormy the weekend of Makennas baptism and my family and Misha were wanting to come. Obviously  if it was bad weather then they wouldn't be able to make it. All of us were praying hard that it would be good weather for traveling. The Thursday night before, it started to snow but Friday we woke up to sunshine! Everyone was able to make it up here safely. Then Friday evening it started snowing again and snowed all day Saturday but Sunday we woke up to clear skies and a beautiful day and everyone made it home safely. I was so grateful to Heavenly Father for answering our prayers, I know he cares about us!
Friday evening we just hung out at our house. It was so nice and the kids just soaked up being with everyone.
Makenna's baptism was perfect. I was so proud of her and grateful that Steve is able to baptize our children. Makenna was glowing the whole day and she just kept saying how happy she was! Makenna was the only one from our ward to be baptized which means we were in charge of the whole program- another reason why I needed my family to come, they were half the program! Makenna's primary teacher and Mark did the prayers. Lauren gave a talk about baptism, the primary president gave a talk on the holy ghost and Grandma (my mom) and Steffani played and lead the music. The kids in Makenna's primary class came with their families and Makenna invited her neighbor friends, who are not members to come too. It all turned out so well.

After her baptism we invited everyone to stay and have a little lunch in the church gym.

It's "Great to be 8!" donuts....
I am so grateful that all of these people could come and share this special day with Makenna.

Since all of my family was staying in a hotel we decided to go swimming that afternoon. It was fun except the water was so cold, so we mainly stayed near the hot tub!

This is why we have uncles, to pull us around like a train.
And this is why we have Grandma's to hold the babies.
After swimming I think the kids were a little tired. They didn't get a whole lot of sleep the night before- how can you when one of your best friends is spending the night?! It was so fun watching Makenna and Kira as they were having their sleepover and reminded Misha and I of the good 'ol days when we had sleepovers too!
That night we all went out to eat and then we decorated gingerbread houses afterwards.

It really was one of the best weekends ever!!!

Thanksgiving 2016

Thanksgiving this year we were able to come and be with my family. We weren't sure if we would be able to make it due to two of the guys that work for Steve got injured the Mon/Tues of Thanksgiving. Which meant Steve would need to be on a route. But due to the kindness of others- some people stepped up and told Steve they would cover the routes so that we could come to Utah. I'm so grateful that we could go! We hung out, did some crafting and of course ate way too much!

My mom and Andrea got the air hockey table going again. I didn't even know they still had this, Jared bought it when we all were teenagers and we loved it!. I thought my mom had gotten rid of it but there it was in the basement. My kids loved it, they played it A LOT while we were visiting and I love that my dad played it with them!

Friday Steve and I made it to the temple and out to lunch, it was perfect- that had been our second date of the week, we went to the movies the night before, gotta take advantage of free babysitting!

Saturday we were able to spend some time with Steve's family and then we had to head home Sunday morning. We were so sad to miss Charlie's baby blessing. It was snowing that morning so we wanted to leave early before it got too bad. It was a great holiday and am so glad we got spend it with family!

Makenna turns 8!

How is Makenna 8 already?! It started out with presents and cinnamon rolls in the morning before she left for school. Then the boys and I went and had lunch with her at school. It was so much fun! Her cute friend Arleigh got to eat with us too!

Then a little later we went back to celebrate in her classroom. She loved being in the hot seat and having all the attention.
Chase thought it was awesome to help her pass out the cookies...

 After school we went bowling.
We were able to talk to some family and friends on the phone once we got home and then had nachos for dinner! It was a fun busy day and I hope Makenna had a great day too! We love you Makenna!!

Random

These are a few random pictures from the past month. These two sillies just having fun in the bath.
Caleb loves pushing the kid cart at the grocery store. I can only handle it sometimes when we go:) He was being pretty cute this day and I couldn't resist.
It was such a beautiful November with several days of warmer weather. We tried to soak up every minute of it!

I'm usually a pretty big stickler about not putting up the Christmas tree until after Thanksgiving but the kids and Steve caught me in a moment of weakness and we set it up the Sunday before Thanksgiving.
