Valentine's Day 2016

Valentines was so fun this year. I started a new thing that I hope will become a tradition. We did the 14 days of Love. Every day the kids would pick a heart and it had a service on the back to do that day. It was just simple things like make someone else's bed, invite someone to play with you at school, take treats to a neighbor, write a card to someone etc. It was so fun and the kids really got into it and loved picking a heart each morning. They for some reason were so excited for the holiday and I'm not sure why. I explained that we wouldn't be having any big party and they weren't going to be getting presents like it was Christmas but still they were so excited. They did get a few little things and we had a yummy dinner.

For Makenna's Valentine's box we made it into a princess castle. I think it turned out pretty good!
This was Chase's first year getting/passing out Valentines. I had to explain a couple of times to him how it worked because he wanted to keep all the Paw Patrol valentines we had bought to pass out. Once he understood how it worked and that he would be getting candy too he was all over it. He could hardly wait for his preschool party!

I sure love all of my Valentine's!!

Treehouse Museum

Last week we met up with Misha and Kira at the Treehouse Museum. It was such a great afternoon! The kids had fun like always but it seems like the girls are going through each section faster and faster every time. I'm not sure how much longer until they think they are too old for the Museum. Caleb other hand could have stayed in one section all day and be content. He was never ready to leave a section when the other kids were.

Caleb and Kira planting a garden.
They were doing an interactive play of Puss 'n Boots and the kids wanted to participate. Kira was a princess and Chase was a brother. Makenna had her heart set on one character but then didn't get chosen for it so decided she didn't want to do it anymore.

I love that you can barely see Chase's face. He thought he was pretty cool!

It was a great afternoon!
