Anniversary/Birthday Getaway

Last week was Steve and I's 10 year anniversary!! 10 years I can't believe it! Our anniversary celebration ended up being over Labor Day weekend to Montana house hunting. Not really what our original plans were but life sometimes gets in the way. We still had fun and enjoyed the time together alone though. I'm so happy to be married to Steve. He works so hard for our family and puts up with me and makes me laugh. We've definitely had ups and downs but I wouldn't want to be with anyone else!!

It was also Makenna's 7 birthday last week too! This is at school as the kids are trying to guess some of her favorite things. I also can't believe Makenna is 7!! She is such a joy and am so glad she is part of our family. She loves reading. She has really picked up on it and is reading everything. I love when I catch her in her room reading! She also enjoys math and the monkey bars. Her hands are full of blisters and callouses! She is such a good friend and most of the time a really good help around the house, her new chore is vacuuming and she's getting pretty good.
So due to our living situation right now we decided to meet Steve in Idaho Falls over the weekend to celebrate anniversary/birthday! We had 2 fun days of swimming at the hotel, eating out, walking around the temple/river, bowling and relaxing. It was great and I think we all had a good time.

Handsome Boys

I took these pictures of the boys real quick this morning before church, I love them! When did my boys look so grown up? My favorite one is the last one, Caleb's face is hilarious!

40!

Steve turned 40 this week! Sadly he wasn't here to celebrate with us. We sent him this picture in the morning,
and then that evening we went out and got his birthday ice cream too and sent him the picture. It was a bummer to not have him home for his birthday! I sure do love him though and am grateful for everything he does for me and our family!!

Halloween

Halloween this year felt like the longest holiday ever! Halloween was on Saturday this year and the kids didn't have school on Friday so Thursday was all the school celebration. Here's Makenna at the school parade..
and Chase right before his school Halloween party. Both the kids were so excited to wear their costumes to school!
Friday was the church Halloween party and then finally it was the actual Halloween day on Saturday. Chase this year was a Ninja Turtle,
 Makenna was a mermaid,
and Caleb was a Ninja Turtle as well but he hated his costume and wore it a total of 5 min!
Steve and I were laughing and saying it's a good thing our kids have dress-ups so that him and I have something to wear on Halloween:)
Here's all the neighbor kids before we left to go trick-or-treating! We sure love our neighbors!

They got plenty of candy to last them awhile and had such a fun time!

Fall Festival

A few weeks ago we met Misha and Kira at the Heritage Center for their Fall Festival. We had so much fun and it was perfect fall weather.Their were a whole bunch of activities the kids could do- big hay bales they could climb on, a giant slide, a corn maze....
This was my kids first time doing a corn maze and they started whining after about 5 min wondering when we would be out. Luckily Misha had grabbed a map so we didn't get lost at all, I can only imagine what would have happened if we hadn't!! They were all glad when we had finished:)

We of course had to ride the train a few times...
and ride the horses!

You could shoot BB guns and throw tomahawks. The girls refused to participate in such a manly activity but Chase was all over it!
Not going to lie, the tomahawk throwing made me a little nervous!!
Such a good time with some of our favorite friends!!!
