Almost Walking

This little man is on the verge of walking. He wants to hold our hands and walk all the time, no crawling. He'll even stand by himself for a few seconds. He wants it so bad I can see it in his eyes. I'm sensing how much busier my life is going to get in a few weeks with him on the move, he's busy crawling I can only imagine when he's walking!

4th of July

We had such a fun 4th of July this year, except that Steve had to work. But my parents and Andrea came down to spend the day. We went to the parade, it was so hot but we were lucky to find a small shade tree to sit by while we waited.

We picked up a ton of taffy and by the end of the parade Makenna was finally getting warmed up to what you're suppose to do at parades (we need to get out more). She would not pick up the candy but by the end whe wanted to.. silly girl.  The rest of the afternoon we got wet in the sprinklers and all took naps.
Once we said goodbye to the fam Makenna and I went to watch the fireworks with the neighbors while Steve and Chase went to bed. I love the 4th of July. Eat junk food, play games and be with friends and family. Makenna has never watched the fireworks as close as we did this year (we were laying down watching them) she didn't really like it but I thought it was perfect.
Sidenote- These two girls are inseperable. They always want to be together, to play together even when one of them isn't being very nice. They are so silly and are just alike- two peas in a pod! Its a good thing we're neighbors.
The next night we all met up again.. earlier and did our own fireworks. Mostly the kids just ran around while us adults watched the fireworks. Such a fun holiday!

Liberty Park

A few weeks ago we were able to meet up with the Merrells at Liberty Park. We had so much fun. The kids played, got wet, rode the rides, and fed ducks.
