We love you Derek!

Last week our nephew Derek was killed in a car accident. It's been an emotional week but we know that Derek is where he is suppose to be. Derek was always so fun to be around and always had a smile, he loved others and was always their to serve. He's going to be greatly missed.

This week I've done a lot of reflecting and having a desire to live my life better. We never know when we might be taken and we need to do all we can now to live the way we should. Derek was such a good example of living the gospel. Their have been a lot more hugs, kisses, kind words, and I love you's said in our home this week and I'm so grateful to have the gospel in my life- to know that we'll be with Derek again that he's where he needs to be. I'm so grateful that families are forever and for the Savior and the atonement that we can be comforted and feel our Heavenly Fathers and Saviors love for us during the hard times in life.
We love you Derek!

Twiners

It was the Salt Lake Marathon over the weekend and Steve's work was one of the sponsers. They handed out milk to the runners and had a milk mustache booth where they handed out these great T-Shirts. Steve was so kind and grabbed one for us too. Now we can be twiners! I'm also pretty sure this has now become Steve's new favorite shirt since he has chocolate milk on the brain all the time!
Also, look who turned 5 months old today! Every day I think she gets bigger and cuter!

Rice Cereal?

Over the weekend we decided to give Makenna rice cereal. I thought it was time, she's been wanting to sit up on the counter with us every time we eat and she watches us with amazement. However, I think she was a little disappointed that the cereal didn't taste as good as she was hoping for. It sure was cute and dinner has become a little more exciting at our house!

Remember that one day?

I don't know about anyone else but when you wake up to snow several mornings over the past few weeks I'm starting to get confused as to whether it's April or the middle of January! However their was this one day about 2 weeks ago that we could break out the stroller. Makenna loved it, she kicked her legs and talked most of the time. That was a good day, maybe someday soon we can do it again, but for now we're still stuck inside:(
